 My CPD Records

You may think that because I am no longer a member of CIAT and retired, I can forget CPD, well think again.

OK for a while I let the record keeping slip, but thats all changed, I am back to keeping my spreadsheet live and updated, with some inprovements to the spreadsheet, to see areas I might want to add, or improve.

My actual CPD has not decreeased at all, I spend most morning reading, researching, talking to Google Gemini, and talking to my editor, and before you ask, he is an Architect who works in NewZealand, and his construction knowledge is rather good.

So why do I put myself through all of this, well its partly down to habit, partly to see where I have been, and partly to see where I need to go, 

And partly to understand my logging of notes in my Apple Notes Knowledge base,, currently the two are not linked, and thats my next step. I fancy a simple spreadsheet line Number, within Appple Notes and the hash tags I used,  to link time to at least one knowledge piece, and hashtags to allow me to find the research on Apple Notes but lets see. I have added notes to both and this seems to work

 CPD Update Week Commencing 24th August 2020 This newsletter is meant to link into my CPD web site and highlight current CPD I have found to this week. Take a look at the website for a complete list of information linked to CPD. So down to this week, a lot of the week has been updating the web site to show new webinars, and what I call static webinars on Youtube. Plus I have extended the site to cover, my reading, plus a specific photograph section. Record-Keeping had also been included plus research, which I now see as the basis of so much CPD, search techniques and search term and filters.

Alternative light Source and Shadows

 Alternative light Source and Shadows I love this little short video on YouTube, which introduces the concept of alternative light sources from other buildings,, the video makes the case of it being like a studio,  But I like the idea of both light and shadow playing with the building, the main and boldest, being the main building shadow, but, light reflected from other buildings windows, and the shadow they cast, gives an alternative lighter and less bold shadow, whilst still sharpening the profiles of walker passing by, and the interesting thing is,, it changes as the day progresses.
